Rashard Mendenhall calls Ben Roethlisberger ‘racist’; Ramon Foster issues ‘PSA’

No team in the NFL has dealt with more drama this offseason than the Pittsburgh Steelers. Amid Le’Veon Bell’s departure and Antonio Brown forcing his way to the Raiders, there has been no shortage of headlines coming out of Pittsburgh lately.

Most recently, a former Steelers running back shared some unfiltered thoughts on Ben Roethlisberger. Rashard Mendenhall, who played for the Steelers from 2008-2012, called Roethlisberger “racist” during a Twitter rant Thursday.

Mendenhall then seemed to backtrack from his very critical comments, saying Roethlisberger is “not racist,” just like Brown is “not a dirtbag.”

With all the comments being made on social media by current and former Steelers, guard Ramon Foster shared a PSA on Twitter. He urged former players and anyone associated with the Steelers to reach out to either himself or Maurkice Pouncey if they have any issues with someone.

Both Foster and Pouncey are leaders in the locker room, so it’s hardly a surprise they’re stepping up in an attempt to reduce the drama surrounding Pittsburgh.

There are still five months until the regular season begins, and for the Steelers, Week 1 can’t come soon enough.
