Designer Anu Mehra showcased her bridal collection titled Shehnai at the ongoing Bombay Times Fashion Week. The collection was designed keeping in mind the various emotions that an Indian bride goes through at the time of her wedding.
The showstopper for Anu Mehra was TV actor Rashami Desai, who wore a floral embroidered lehenga with a green dupatta.
The designer's collection was inspired by the timeless opulence of architecture from the Mughal era. This collection’s intricate and innovative embroidery mirrors the hand cut marble patterns so often seen in Mughal architecture. With a royal, traditional wedding palette of muted greens, plush maroons and gold tones, Shehnai showcased our heritage in a variety of modern patterns and cuts.
