Rare Oasis artwork and memorabilia from the 90s to go on display at British Music Experience in Liverpool

Official Oasis artwork and memorabilia will go on display for the first time, as part of a unique showcase in Liverpool.

The exhibition can be seen at The British Music Experience in the Cunard Building, from Friday, June 14.

Called Microdot – The 90s, it has been curated by graphic designer Brian Cannon who worked on the most sought-after music-related artwork in the world, including albums by The Verve, Suede and Super Furry Animals.

Curator Brian Cannon, said: "I’m really excited by the opportunity to put together this unique exhibition which for the first time features a collection of incredible memorabilia, as well as key work from Microdot.

"I have always wanted to do something like this in Liverpool, and the British Music Experience is the perfect place for this with its amazing collection of British music artefacts.

"The team there are all real music enthusiasts and I’ve really enjoyed working with them on this project."

The exhibition will shine a spotlight on some of the agency’s work, as well as work-in-progress designs, creations that didn’t make the final cut as well as a selection of original props used on some of the album sleeves and in videos.

This includes the Gibson Flying ‘V’ guitar played by Noel Gallagher for the Oasis video ‘D’You Know What I Mean’.

Microdot – The 90s will run until Saturday, August 31, and is included as part of the standard ticket entry to the British Music Experience.
