Rare Manchester United footage resurfaces showing 1999 dressing room Champions League celebrations

Manchester United are currently in the midst of a rebuild as they look to repair the damage of a sixth-place finish in the Premier League but memories of the good times can help fans live through the bad.

When United supporters look back to when they were at their peak under Sir Alex Ferguson, the Champions League journey which culminated in winning the treble stands out.

If you haven't looked back at that day in Barcelona or the comeback against Juventus in the semi-finals regularly in the last 20 years then you don't have United's red running through your veins.

That last five minutes or so at the Camp Nou is replayed in the minds of United fans over and so is the resilient display in the semis which saw United come back from 3-1 down on aggregate to level at 3-3 and progress through on away goals.

The footage that is a little bit more rare, though, is the celebrations in the dressing room in Turin that night as the players came to terms with making it through to the final in Spain.

Some fans may have already seen this particular video but it's likely most will have not.

It shows a frantic Gary Neville and Phil Neville celebrating with the coaching staff, a fresh-faced Ole Gunnar Solskjaer walking around the dressing room as if nothing of note has just happened and Ferguson congratulating practically every player.

The video above also shows the mixed feelings on the faces of Roy Keane and Paul Scholes, United stalwarts who were key to the comeback in Turin but knew post-match that they wouldn't be featuring in the final due to suspension.
