Rare find: Classic beauty in pair of Cooks Hill semis

DOUBLE TAKE: These side-by-side semi-detached homes in Cooks Hill were built circa 1920 and have both been listed for sale.

It is not often a pair of Victorian semi-detached homes come to market and good interest is expected for one such case in Cooks Hill.

Robinson Property's Ben Robinson is marketing the side-by-side dwellings on separate titles in Parry Street. They can be bought separately or as one.

They were built circa 1910 and both have two bedrooms, one bathroom and off-street parking. Mr Robinson has listed 31 Parry Street with a guide of $1.15 million to $1.25 million and 29 Parry Street for $1.1 million to $1.2 million.

"It's fairly unique where you get two semis side-by-side like this," Mr Robinson said.

"They're a mirror image of each other. The two properties are quintessential Cooks Hill - tree-lined street and all level. They have a desired north-to-south orientation, off-street parking and both have good-sized, level, grassed backyards. They're quite different but I think they'll be very well received."

Mr Robinson will have No.31 open at 1pm on Saturday and No.29 at 1.30pm. Both blend hallmarks of their Victorian era, such as 3.3-metre pressed metal ceilings and original fireplaces, with modern touches.

"Interest has been solid because it appeals to developers and investors, but the family market that wants that big, lush backyard as well," Ms Allan said. "Generally blocks in Tighes Hill are much smaller, so it's a rare find."
