Rare and unseen photographs of David Bowie, Amy Winehouse and more feature in charity sale

A selection of rare and unseen photographs of music icons will be sold to raise money in aid of musicians during the pandemic, and to support the fight against racial injustice.

David Bowie, Amy Winehouse and Grace Jones are among the artists featured in the sale, organised by archive photography group VaultWorks.

A quarter of proceeds raised will be split between the MusiCares Covid-19 relief fund, and racial justice organisation Color of Change.

Previously unseen shots of Bono, Boy George, Lemmy, Mick Jagger and Prince are also included, as are rare photographs of Aaliyah, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Lady Gaga and others.

The limited edition prints — taken by British photographers Phil Knott, Tim Bret-Day and Derrek Santini — are priced between $100 (£81) and $1,000 (£811).

Fewer than 200 editions of each print are available, and shipping is free worldwide.

Flick through the gallery above to check out a selection of the available prints, with quotes from the photographers reminiscing on when they were taken.
