A rare Olympic fifty pence piece found on a beach has sold for £10,000 on eBay 10 just days after being listed on the selling site.
The much sought after coin was minted to commemorate the games held in London as part of the 2012 Olympic collection.
They are among the most valuable coins you can find, made up of 29 different 50p designs that each represent a different Olympic sport.
The football version of the coin, which features the offside rule is likely to fetch one of the highest prices, according the Change Checker Scarcity Index.
The coin, which had been found at a beach using a metal detector, was placed on the selling site in May with a starting bid of just £10, listed as a "very rare 2011 Olympic 50p coin with waterlines on swimmer face not Kew Gardens".

It quickly racked up 68 bids - taking the total amount to £10,101, in a huge jackpot for its owner, the Mirror reports.
"I don't understand much about coins," the seller wrote, "but I believe this coin is genuine. Do not bid if you don't feel confident."
Only 600 Olympics Swimmer featuring wavy lines across the swimmer’s face were ever produced before the design was amended to show the athlete's full face.
Six-hundred is a tiny amount in terms of minting and makes this coin a collectors dream.
If you've got one at home, check to see if the water lines cross over the swimmer's face - though, there's no guarantee that yours will sell for quite as much.
