Rare £2 coin on eBay for staggering £1million after owner found it in car

An eBay user has listed a rare £2 coin on eBay for a staggering £1million after finding it in their car.

Unfamiliar with the design on the piece, they took the coin to a local expert to see if it was worth anything.

They were completely shocked when the dealer offered £5,000 for the coin, but rejected the price.

The dealer made a higher offer, which they also turned down, claiming they had the feeling it was worth more based on the reaction.

The coin features Isambard Kingdom Brunel, and has the text: "Engineer 1806-1859".

Despite being so rare, the coin is yet to sell but there are 31 people watching it.

The seller believed the coin was worth more than the dealer was letting on, so decided to try their luck on eBay (Ebay)

And the coin isn't the only item this seller is trying to flog on the online auction site.

They are also selling an 'extremely rare 50 pence coin' which features Mrs Tittle Mouse - a character from a Beatrix Potter book - also for £1 million, and a Polish Order of the White Eagle sash badge for £9,000.

The 2002 Commonwealth games Northern Ireland £2 coin is thought to be the rarest coin of them all.

Money experts at ChangeChecker also created a Scarcity Index which outline the most valuable coins ever.

Other pieces worth keeping an eye out for are the First World War Navy £2, from 2015, The Great Fire of London £2 from the following year and the 2016 Shakespeare Comedy and Tragedy £2.
