Raptors without Kyle Lowry (ankle) and other key players vs. Lakers

Depending on which thing you are rooting for with regards to the Lakers close of the season, the latest news out of Toronto can be taken one of two ways. If you want them to tank, it’s bad news. If you want them to win and build some momentum heading into next season, then the latest update is good.

The Toronto Raptors announced that they would be without their leader and starting point guard Kyle Lowry, as well as his backup Fred VanVleet, when they take on the Lakers tonight in Toronto. They’ll join Serge Ibaka, who is serving a three-game suspension, among the inactives for Toronto.

Meanwhile, the Lakers confirmed that LeBron James will play tonight. That likely means that James will rest in their game against the Detroit Pistons tomorrow night. James has agreed to sit back-to-backs as well as see his minutes cut back with the Lakers all but eliminated from the postseason.
