Raptors’ TV analyst almost taken out by falling light during Game 3: ‘I’m trying to stay alive’

Longtime Toronto Raptors TV analyst Leo Rautins was calling Game 3 of the NBA Finals for TSN on Wednesday when disaster almost struck.

Because he was apparently really lucky that a light that fell from the ceiling of Oracle Arena in Oakland landed right next to him, instead of landing on his head, which could have been really bad.

Rautins was working the game in his courtside seat when he told the crowd watching at home:

“I’m not kidding you folks. I”m sitting here at courtside and there’s this light from the ceiling that came down and landed right here. If I leaned over this way I’d be over. Done.”

Check out his reaction:

He tweeted after:

Man, that must have been scary.

But he handled it a whole lot better than I would have.
