The Drake curse is alive and well, thanks to the rapper being a fan of a bunch of teams and athletes who have ended up losing because of his association with them.
That recently included Alabama, which lost the national title game to Clemson after Drake was snapped in a Crimson tide sweatshirt.
He’s also a global ambassador for his favorite NBA team, the Toronto Raptors, which has been the butt of “LeBronto” joke in the postseason as the Raps have failed to live up to their regular-season potential.
Instead of distancing themselves from Drake, the team has full-on leaned in: They named the franchise’s training facility the OVO Athletic Centre after Drake’s brand October’s Very Own. They even gave Drake his own key:
