Raptors’ Kyle Lowry will not play Wednesday night vs. the Thunder

Toronto Raptors guard Kyle Lowry will not play Wednesday night against the Oklahoma City Thunder due to a right ankle injury, according to Eric Smith of Sportsnet.

Lowry suffered the injury Monday night against the New York Knicks after colliding with Mitchell Robinson in the third quarter. Lowry left the game and would not return.

After the game on Monday, Lowry told reporters he believed the play was a bit dirty by Robinson. Lowry claimed Robinson “grabbed me and pulled me down” but added that he didn’t believe Robinson did it on purpose.

The meeting against the Thunder on Wednesday is the first of the season as the two teams will play back-to-back games against each other with the second game occurring Friday in Toronto.

In 57 games this season, Lowry is averaging 14.8 points, nine assists, 4.8 rebounds and 1.4 steals per game for the Raptors.

The game on Wednesday is set to tip off at 8:30 p.m. CT.
