Raptors fans in Detroit revel in team's 105-92 victory against Pistons

DETROIT _ Detroit Pistons fans started heading to the Little Caesars Arena exits early in the fourth quarter.

The party was just getting started for Toronto Raptors fans, who once again made the Pistons' court their home away from home.

The Raptors (35-14) took control with a 20-6 run to start the fourth quarter to run away with a 105-92 victory.

The Pistons (17-33) shot 35.4% and Derrick Rose scored 21 points to extend his streak of scoring 20-plus to 14 games.

Pascal Siakam flashed All-Star form in leading the Raptors with 30 points on 12-for-18 shooting.

Andre Drummond struggled most of the evening, but ended with 20 points and 20 rebounds. He was scoreless in the first half.

The Pistons' Svi Mykhailiuk, who earned a spot in the Rising Stars game earlier Friday, scored 13 points.

Serge Ibaka scored 21 points for the Raptors, and Fred VanVleet had 16 points, eight rebounds and nine assists.

The Pistons have lost five straight.

After 15 straight starts, Pistons rookie Sekou Doumbouya didn't leave the bench.

After Wednesday night's loss at Brooklyn, Casey said the organization would consider sending Doumbouya back to the Gatorade League affiliate in Grand Rapids.

The rookie was minus-20 in eight minutes that night.

"There's a lot of things going on," Casey said after the game. "It's about being a pro. He's 19 years old, it isn't easy. He has to grow up. He's got the talent, it's there, it's in there. We just have to continue to develop him _ not only as a basketball player, but as a young man.

"There's a lot of things he needs to understand about what it means to be a pro."

The Grand Rapids Drive's next game is Wednesday night.

Thon Maker started in place of Doumbouya.

With "Let's Go Raptors!" chants reverberating through LCA, the Raptors got off to a hot-shooting start.

Siakam scored 13 points as the Raptors shot 68.4% from the field in taking a 30-20 lead into the second quarter.

Siakam put on a dazzling display of one-on-one basketball, taking Maker off the dribble for drives to the rim.

When Maker gave Siakam space, the Raptors All-Star made two 3-pointers.

Mykhailiuk kept the Pistons afloat with three 3s, although the Raptors' zone defense held the Pistons to 28.6% shooting.
