The saga of “Plant Guy” is over.
Okay, it wasn’t much of a saga. But the Internet became fascinated by Raptors fan who, right after the Raps won the 2019 NBA championship, was discovered by a Canadian news reporter holding a giant plant that was meant as a housewarming gift for Kawhi Leonard to keep him in Toronto. The dude even nicknamed it a “Kawhactus.” Brilliant.
During the Raptors parade, cameras captured Plant Guy in the middle of the action … getting a small houseplant right into the hands of Leonard on his float. The forward looked delighted, and given how he ended his speech mocking his own laugh, maybe he was aware of the viral Plant Guy like we all were?
