As the Toronto Raptors have rallied to draw even in their Eastern Conference Finals matchup with the Bucks, much of the postgame discussion hasn’t been about the Raptors’ play on the court.
It’s been about rapper Drake’s sideline antics because, of course.
Drake has been a lively presence on the sidelines this series, mocking Giannis Antetokounmpo from his courtside seat and getting on the nerves of Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer.
At one point during Tuesday’s Game 4, Drake gave Raptors head coach Nick Nurse a shoulder rub. Everything about Drake’s antics have been ridiculous, but don’t look for Nurse to say that Drake crossed a line.
According to the Raptors coach, he didn’t even notice the much-discussed shoulder rub as it was happening. He was too focused on the game.
Judging from Nurse’s non-reaction to the shoulder rub, I’m inclined to believe him.
In the heat of a crucial NBA playoff game, shoulder rubs from famous rappers can go unnoticed.
