A rapping busker hopes to crack a smile from steely-faced London Underground commuters.
Freestyler Danny Platinum has taken advantage of the walk-through Circle and District line trains to invent uplifting rhymes about travellers.
Office workers, babies, day-tripping families, barking dogs and the sartorial choices of sharp-dressed Londoners are all lyrical ingredients for him.
The 25-year-old, whose real name is Daniel Peterson, says he has rapped to thousands of commuters and described music as his “life and passion”.
His typical day involves a busking shift until 4pm, then a break for the gym, before picking up again after the evening rush hour when the crush has subsided.
The hip-hop artist, from Croydon, uses the income from his Tube carriage busking — which is not permitted under TfL rules — to supplement music production and marketing his tracks across online platforms, including Instagram, Spotify and Apple Music.
Mr Peterson said: “Londoners are usually very conservative and minding their business, but are always intrigued about anything to do with music.
“My raps are based around complimenting people and making them feel good, I’m always talking about something positive.”
