Rapper Romeo cleared of car park attack

Former So Solid Crew star Romeo was cleared of slashing a man in a car park yesterday after a second jury failed to agree a verdict at the Old Bailey.

Judge Ann Goddard found the 24-year-old rapper, real name Marvin Dawkins, not guilty of wounding with intent when the prosecution decided not to continue the case.

He was alleged to have slashed Ejay Armstrong's jaw after going to help family and friends in a dispute after a night out in London's West End. Romeo, from Rotherhithe, south-east London, denied wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
