Rapper MistaKay whose music featured on Corrie and Radio 1 admits sexually abusing toddler

A rapper whose music appeared on Coronation Street and Radio 1 has admitted sexually abusing a toddler.

Kieron Cunliffe, who is known by his stage name Mistakay, appeared in Sheffield Crown Court on Friday to admit six charges in relation to the young girl.

The 25-year-old, from Doncaster, admitted three counts of sexually assaulting a girl under the age of 13, one more serious count of assaulting a girl under 13, one count of taking an indecent photograph of a child and one count of distributing an indecent photograph of a child.

The charges relate to one victim, who cannot be named for legal reasons.

He had been due to stand trial last May but will now be sentenced by a crown court judge on February 26.

Cunliffe appeared in court via a video link from custody in HMP Doncaster.

He wore a grey jumper and rosary beads before being remanded in custody.

The rapper has more than 1,000 subscribers on YouTube.

He'd also released music with a number of other artists.

His tracks had been played on BBC Radio One and 1Xtra and one was also played during an episode of Coronation Street.

A song he released last September called 'Where I Came From', focused on the estate where he grew up in Doncaster.

According to a Discogs page, has also been involved in campaigns for Adidas, Oasis Drinks, Lipton Ice Tea, Red Bull & Derby County FC.

The page adds: "A deal with Sony ATV led to his music being used on Channel 4, E4, ITV, BT Sport."
