Rapper Logic might have only just quit music last week, but he has now signed an exclusive deal with Twitch.

The eye-melting seven-figure deal will see the performer host weekly streams on the platform.

Known for his songs Homicide, Logic has another album called No Pressure coming out soon, which coincided with him announcing that he would be retiring from music.

Logic, otherwise known as Robert Bryson Hall II, recently cited his departure from music was in order to "be a great father" and that Twitch was the next logical step for him since he's an avid gamer.

His streams will be “a mixture of in-studio sessions, special guests, [ask me anything]-style formats, and gaming,” Twitch said in a press release.

The release went on to say: “Signing Logic is a firm commitment of Twitch’s continued investment in non-gaming content and creators".

Speaking to The Verge about this move to Twitch, he said “I'm not this rapper guy, man. I'm just a nerd. I love video games". Logic has had a channel on Twitch since 2019 and used to play games on his YouTube channel.

This marks the first time Twitch has struck an exclusive deal with a music creator, which is shocking considering how many celebrities and figures are actually on Twitch.

He told The Verge: “I'm going to bring new eyes to their service, they're going to bring new money to my bank account, and - I'm just kidding.” and went on to say that the wouldn't be using the platform to have charged political debate, but noted it is the "safest way" for him to interact with his fan base.
