Rapper Gucci Mane facing vicious backlash for 'praying' his haters die of coronavirus

Rapper Gucci Mane was slammed after he "prayed" for all his haters to die of coronavirus.

The musician - real name Radric Delantic Davis - sparked an outcry from his 8.4million fans with his tweet on Easter Sunday.

Gucci riled up his fans when he appeared to be making light of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In the said tweet, Gucci publicly wished his haters died of the coronavirus bug which has been sweeping the globe.

Social media was awash with fans lashing out at the star after they were set off by the controversial tweet.

The rapper wrote: "I pray my haters die of corona virus."

Gucci added an emoji with a mask covering its face.

His insensitive tweet was met with a backlash online from his own network of fans.

"But the real hater is the one wishing death upon others. Think about it." One fan wrote, among the crowd.

Others added: "Man you need some online church services and a hug.

"This is the worst timed tweet ever. There are people actually mourning the loss of loved ones now, due to the virus. Bad move big homie..."

"Very wrong prayer, you suppose to pray for them to live and see you being more successful in life..."

In his bio, the rapper described himself as a "major label recording artist".

He also revealed he was signed to Atlantic Records.

Gucci has been using Twitter since June 2009.
