Rapper Duke Acapela's manager blasts claims musician dead after being 'shot'

Duke Acapela - who also goes by name Lil Duke Chicago - has allegedly been shot but his manager has blasted claims that the musician has died.

On Monday evening, reports emerged claiming that the 25-year-old American rapper - who is based in Chicago - had been shot - but this hasn't been confirmed by cops.

His manager, called official_ceokushent on Instagram, took to social media to shut down claims that the musician had passed but has urged fans to pray for the star.

"Hang in there gang keep breathing," his manager wrote in an Instagram story over a photograph of a prayer candle.

"Need everyone to pray for Duke Acapela he needs yall rn."

Last night, the Kush Entertainment Records manager added: "Don't believe s**t he stil breathing let's keep praying."

After reports circulated that the up and coming star had been shot fans took to social media.

One penned: "Rest up @dukeacapela man I hate to even type this sh**, bro was too talented shoulda been made it out the city I definitely was rooting for you."

A second added: "bro please don't be dead."

A third joined in: "Wow bro no."

Rapper La Tone posted a photograph of the pair on his Instagram story with the caption: "Just got the call but I don't believe it gang u got this we ain't done slime."
