Raphael Varane reacts to Manchester United debut performance vs Wolves

Raphael Varane says it is 'absolutely amazing' to have finally made his debut for Manchester United.

The French international played the entire match as United defeated Wolves 1-0 on Sunday afternoon — his first appearance since signing from Real Madrid in the summer.

It was worth the wait too as Varane, 28, helped United keep their first clean sheet of the season and assisted Mason Greenwood's 80th-minute winner with a direct pass.

United will be hoping for more of the same from their star defensive signing and Varane can't wait to get even more experience playing in the English top-flight.

"Great feeling, I was very, very happy to be here and to help the team to this victory. The feeling, it's absolutely amazing," he told MUTV.

"The Premier League, it's very intense, it's very fast, and when you play this game you are very concentrated, and I came here for that feeling."

When further quizzed on the intensity of the Premier League the new signing admitted it was a 'very fast' environment unlike many he had played in before.

He added: "The atmosphere is fantastic and the game was very fast, you have a lot of action during the game. You have to be focused and very concentrated because it never stops.

"It's attack, attack, counter-attack, and it is very, very fast."
