Manchester United are facing an injury crisis ahead of a crunch run of games following confirmation of Raphael Varane's latest setback.
The defender, who has only recently returned from a groin injury, will be out for a month with a hamstring picked up during the first half of the 2-2 draw at Atalanta.
Varane missed the 5-0 thumping by Liverpool before returning to help calm the side in Saturday's 3-0 win at Tottenham.
He is now set to miss huge fixtures both home and abroad, starting with the visit of Manchester City in the derby, before aiming to return to first-team action in four weeks' time.
The games Varane will miss
- November 6: Man City, Premier League, home
- November 20: Watford, Premier League, away
- November 23: Villarreal, Champions League, away
- November 28: Chelsea, Premier League, away
- December 2: Arsenal, Premier League, home

Crystal Palace visit three days later, and the defender can be considered a doubt for that, too.
Varane's injury is the second to one of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's centre-backs in the same week after Victor Lindelof picked up a knock during preparations of the trip to Italy.
