Raphael Varane agrees with Ralf Rangnick over his plan to prevent further injuries at Manchester United.
The 28-year-old touched down in the Premier League from Spanish giants Real Madrid - for £34million - during the summer transfer window having been earmarked as a long-term partner for Harry Maguire.
Due to two separate set-backs, the World Cup winner has only made 12 appearances this season.
Varane has, though, featured in the last three matches after suffering a hamstring issue while on international duty with France which, in turn, put him on the side-lines for close to two months.
Speaking about those set-backs, interim manager Rangnick hinted United will continue to view the bigger picture when it comes to selecting Varane and the 83-cap international has also addressed any lingering concerns over his fitness.
During an in-depth interview with MUFC media, he said: "I feel good. I feel better every day and I want to stay like that and improve and help the team.
"I have to say the medical team and the physios have helped me a lot and I'm very happy to be back and I'd like to say thank you to them for the help with my recovery.
"I think you have to listen to how you feel and listen to the medical advice as well as it's very important. Obviously you want to come back quickly and as soon as possible, but you have to be sure to be ready for the competitions."

Varane added: "We want to play football for the fans and for ourselves. I always want to be on the pitch and I was waiting to get back to play in front of our fans who have supported me. I wanted to be ready and to make sure I came back at the right moment and I feel good. Our supporters are always very good and for sure they will push us to do our best on the pitch.
"I think for this year we just want to do our best on the pitch and to make the fans happy."
