KOCHI: The high court on Friday extended the interim bail granted to actor-producer Vijay Babu until Monday in the case alleging rape of a young actress.
When the anticipatory bail plea filed by Vijay came up for hearing on Friday, prosecution submitted that the additional director general of prosecution, who is arguing the case, is indisposed as he is in quarantine and needs time to appear in the case. Following the submission, the court extended the interim bail until Monday.
In addition to the anticipatory bail plea in the rape case, the actor has also sought pre-arrest bail in the case over revealing the survivor’s name through social media.
