Rape accused flees police station in Alwar

ALWAR: An accused arrested in a gangrape case escaped from Laxmangarh police station in Alwar on Saturday morning when he went to use the toilet there. He was earlier arrested on Friday evening. A constable has been suspended for laxity.

"Accused Akram Khan (23) was lodged in lock-up of police station since Friday evening. On Saturday morning, when he asked to go to toilet, duty constable Jasveer Singh accompanied him till entry gate of the toilet in police station," said Tejaswani Gautam, SP (Alwar). "Suddenly he climbed one of the walls of police station which was close to the toilet," said a senior officer.
