Ranvir Singh forced to stop presenting GMB after call from home

Ranvir Singh was forced to stop presenting on GMB today after getting a call from home.

Ranvir was speaking to Susanna Reid and Adil Ray about whether women work harder than men.

She explained that she was very hardworking herself, but following the pandemic had decided to turn down some work offers in order to spend more time with her son.

And as she was speaking Ranvir looked down at her phone and said: "My son is facetiming while I'm live on air, he's probably like 'what can I have for breakfast'?"

Susanna said: "Talk about busy women."

Ranvir said: "Sorry I'm just going to have to answer my son now, just to see everything is ok at home."

Adil said: "Make sure everything is ok."

Susanna said: "Do you want us to stay with you."

Ranvir said: "No it's fine."

Susanna and Adil joked Ranvir's son was calling to ask where the peanut butter was for his breakfast.

The show went to the regional news as Ranvir took the facetime call.

As soon as they came back to the studio Adil asked Ranvir if everything was ok.

She said: "Yes everything is fine, I've got to look out for an email authorisation for something that he's doing instead of his spellings this morning."

*GMB continues at 6am on ITV tomorrow
