Ranking Titans’ biggest remaining needs after Julio Jones trade

Now that the Tennessee Titans have secured wide receiver Julio Jones in a trade with the Atlanta Falcons, we can knock that position off the list of the team’s remaining needs.

Before we get to the biggest ones remaining, let’s talk about some honorable mentions. These include positions that make sense to add to, but aren’t of the utmost importance in the grand scheme of things.

Backup QB: Logan Woodside and DeShone Kizer are set to battle it out, but adding another veteran option wouldn’t be a bad idea in order for Tennessee to hedge its bet in finding a viable backup who can keep the team afloat if Ryan Tannehill gets hurt.

Backup OLB: Beyond Harold Landry and Bud Dupree, the Titans’ depth at outside linebacker is a bit thin. Rookie Rashad Weaver, Derick Roberson and special teams ace Ola Adeniyi are Tennessee’s best options currently.

Backup CB: The retirement of Kevin Johnson erased a depth piece from the Titans’ secondary, and particularly in the slot. On the flip side, Johnson was set to be anywhere from CB4 to CB6 on the depth chart, so losing him isn’t major by any stretch.

Now, let’s rank the Titans’ biggest remaining needs, of which there are three.
