The crest and the stripes across the middle make the Panthers’ jerseys feel more like they belong in soccer rather than hockey.

The Jets’ simple crest has to go. Plus, while the blue is nice, the Jets should stick with just one shade to make things consistent. Their old shade of blue from their original stay in Winnipeg, perhaps?

The Lightning’s jerseys are just a bad copy of the far superior Maple Leafs’ uniforms. Next.

Not completely horrific, but another team on this list wears blue and orange much better than the Islanders do.

The Stars’ green is okay. I’m higher on it than most, but these definitely don’t shine as bright as many of their peers do.

The Avalanche really threw off their color scheme by swapping out their black pants with blue ones to match their jerseys. And now, the entire ensemble feels just too blue heavy. It’s a unique color scheme, but they could definitely dial it back a few notches.

A really solid jersey. Just because the Devils are the tenth best jersey in these rankings doesn’t mean they’re bad, it’s just that the competition ahead of them is so fierce. The Devils have one of the most iconic jerseys in the NHL and for good reason, as their branding is absolutely on point.

The forest green and cream with a splash of red is a great fit for the Wild. The logo might still feel out of place, but it’s really grown on me over the years. Definitely a jersey that would smell like a forest in winter, if not for all the sweat.

Los Angeles Kings

While I may still criticize the Kings’ away jerseys for being a bit boring, boy do they still look good. At this point, Los Angeles should adopt their shiny silver alternates as their new away jerseys, if only for their old logo. And yes, the metallic helmets must stay!

Thank goodness the Oilers went back to their primary blue home jerseys instead of the unsightly orange monstrosities they wore last season. This is what an Oilers jersey should look like, now and forever.

The Golden Knights’ unique color palate stands out much better on their white away jerseys. The gold just looks pristine and the red on the sleeves is very striking. Plus, the white gloves! What a look.

Script lettering is such a lost art in the NHL. The Hurricanes knock it out of the park here on their away jerseys, which throw it back with the script style while also feeling modern with the bold lettering.

The Kraken no doubt boast the best away jersey of the playoff field this year. Seattle’s logo and two-toned blue color scheme really pop on the white jerseys in a way that feels fun and fresh. As the NHL’s 32nd team — in their first playoff appearance, no less — the Kraken really clean up well.

Talk about a classy look from top to bottom. The Bruins’ symmetrical stripes on their sleeves, waist, and socks are a highlight for me, as it gives Boston’s look a comprehensive feel to it not all teams have.

Toronto Maple Leafs

Simple and clean, baby. Simple and clean. The Maple Leafs perfected the art of a simple jersey and only improved it by switching to that stylized leaf back in 2016. Here’s hoping we get to see this jersey past the first round!

New York Rangers

There’s a reason the Rangers have hardly ever deviated from their iconic script lettering. This sweater is just too good and too iconic to be beaten, honestly. From the balanced color palate to the red pants that put it all together, the Rangers have a truly gorgeous look that continues to stand the test of time.
