Ranking the four beautifully violent finishes in Dana White’s Contender Series 19 event

Fight fans still hungry from last Saturday night’s great card at UFC 239 were given even more fun finishes in Tuesday night’s Dana White’s Contender Series 19 event in Las Vegas as four of the five fights ended with great finishes and all five winners were given UFC contracts, which rarely happens on this show.

Joe Solecki (first-round), Antonio Trocoli (first round), Maki Pitolo (first round), Jonathan Pearce (third round), and Hunter Azure (who was the lone fighter to go all the way to a decision) all picked up huge wins that landed them in the UFC.

Let’s break down the four finishes.

4. Trocoli’s neck crank on Kenneth Bergh

With just a minute left in the first round Tricoli locked in a neck crank and didn’t let go until Bergh tapped his arm. A dominant finish to a dominant performance.

3. Solecki’s guillotine choke on Jesse Wallace

Solecki pulled of this thing of beauty late in the first round, leaving Wallace out cold with a powerful guillotine choke. That’s how you make a statement in a fight like this.

2. Pitolo’s body blows bury Justin Sumter

We don’t see many KOs by body blows, which makes this one all the more impressive. Pitolo, who is a teammate of UFC champ Max Holloway, had everyone on Twitter in awe of this powerful finish.

1. Pearce’s flash KO of Jacob Rosales

Pearce kicked off the night with the type of KO that Dana White loves to see in this event. Pearce, who has an incredible personal story, finished things in style and punched his ticket to the UFC.
