Ranking the best trade destinations for Josh Rosen

Rumors have begun to swirl about the future of Josh Rosen. The Cardinals, who may take Kyler Murray with the first pick in this year’s draft, are reportedly interested in trading the former UCLA star, last year’s 10th overall selection. Here are seven teams that could potentially acquire Rosen.

7. Miami Dolphins

Although Miami reportedly is not interested in Rosen, the Dolphins could use a change at quarterback. Ryan Tannehill reportedly may be traded soon; acquiring Rosen wouldn’t be out of the question.

6. Cincinnati Bengals

Andy Dalton is 31 and hasn’t led the Bengals to the playoffs since 2015. It wouldn’t be shocking to see Cincinnati, which recently hired quarterback guru Zac Taylor as its head coach, part with a pick to grab Rosen.

5. New England Patriots

While soon-to-be 42-year-old Tom Brady appears to be bionic, the Patriots need to find the future Hall of Fame quarterback’s replacement. Soon. With Jimmy Garoppolo gone to San Francisco, the talented Rosen could be an attractive option for coach Bill Belichick.

4. Minnesota Vikings

Big ticket free agent signing Kirk Cousins had an up-and-down first season with the Vikings. Although he may bounce back in 2019, it would make sense for Minnesota to try and pick up someone who could be both a backup to Cousins and the team’s QB of the future.

3. Pittsburgh Steelers

Pittsburgh is a mess. Antonio Brown’s about to be traded. Ben Roethlisberger just turned 37. The Steelers could use an infusion of young talent. Trading for Rosen would be a step in the right direction.

2. New York Giants

Although the Giants have publicly expressed faith in quarterback Eli Manning, the 38-year-old’s time as New York’s starter will likely come to a close soon. Whether it’s this year or not, the Giants need a young quarterback. Rosen would be a good fit.

1. Washington Redskins

With Alex Smith still recovering from a grisly leg injury and the middling Colt McCoy penciled in as the starter, Washington is in desperate need of a quarterback. The Skins love splashy acquisitions. It wouldn’t be surprising to see them go after Rosen.
