Why do they even have odds on non-quarterbacks winning NFL MVP? It’s almost been 10 years since Adrian Peterson won the award, and that was before the great “Running Backs Don’t Matter” awakening.
We’re never going back. Quarterbacks are just too valuable. We might as well rename the award at this point, because it’s going to be a LONG time before a player at another position wins.
So with NFL MVP odds being released by sportsbooks this week, I’d advise just glossing over the non-quarterbacks on the list. So, thanks for playing Christian McCaffrey and Derrick Henry. Those 25/1 odds might be enticing, but you’re better off burning your money.
Because of that cold reality, we’ve trimmed all the fat from BetMGM’s list of NFL MVP contenders and ranked all the quarterbacks based on their odds to win the award.
