Ranking all 32 NFL teams (including the Broncos) by playoff probability

With four games remaining, the Denver Broncos are one game behind the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC West and two spots out of a Wild Card spot in the AFC playoff picture.

ESPN has given the Broncos a 44.8% chance to make the NFL playoffs, trailing the Houston Texans (45%), Buffalo Bills (47.4%), Cleveland Browns (80.3%), Jacksonville Jaguars (92.8%), Miami Dolphins (96%), Kansas City Chiefs (98.5%) and Baltimore Ravens (99.5%) in the AFC.

Ahead of Week 16, ESPN views Denver as the eighth-most likely team to reach the postseason in the conference (seven teams will get in). So the Broncos have some ground to make up.

Below is a look at the playoff chances for all 32 teams, with playoff percentages provided by ESPN’s NFL Football Power Index. Mathematically, only two NFL teams (the New England Patriots and Carolina Panthers) have been eliminated from playoff contention, but ESPN gives four teams a 0% chance to reach the postseason.
