Ranieri: my destiny is decided

Claudio Ranieri has finally admitted that he will be leaving Chelsea at the end of the season - and he claims he knows who his successor will be.

When asked if winning the Champions League would keep him in a job at Stamford Bridge, Ranieri said: "No, I think not because my destiny is already decided."

Chelsea play Monaco in the second leg of the semi-final, but Ranieri knows the result will have no impact on his future.

Jose Mourinho, the Porto coach, is the strong favourite to take over at Chelsea, and Ranieri said of his successor: "I know who it is, just like you."

The Italian said he would like to stay in England, however, giving more credibility to suggestions that he may take over at Tottenham.

"I live very well in England and the Premiership is a very good league," Ranieri said. "I feel like a European manager and for me it would be a very good thing to stay in England."
