Rangers midfielder Calum Adamson is set to join Raith Rovers on loan for the 2026/27 season.

The 19-year-old impressed while on loan at Alloa in League One last season.

His performances caught the attention of several clubs in the Championship, as well as some from south of the border.

Adamson, a box-to-box midfielder, will now head to Stark's Park on a straight loan deal.

He will be looking to make a mark in the Championship after being part of Derek McInnes' pre-season squad in Spain this summer.

Adamson has also featured in European squads and played in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Raith earlier this summer.

Ross McCrorie identifies issues Rangers 'need to rectify quickly' after slow start Hibernian 2-1 Shkendija: O'Hora snatches valuable late winner

Zeb Lawson has also left Rangers on a straight loan deal this summer, joining Queen's Park.

Max Cameron and Kyle Glasgow are both at Alloa on cooperation loans, while McCallion and Stewart have joined Queen's Park through the SFA loan scheme.

Meanwhile, Ross McCrorie has identified issues that Rangers need to address following their Europa League defeat to Jagiellonia Białystok.

He said: "We were a bit open at times and we never locked it up.

"So when we were attacking, we should have had the box locked up - we didn’t and they got a counterattack.

"We should never be in that position where we've got them recovery runs.

"We should have boys in the positions to get back and that's something we need to work on as a team.

"We need to rectify, we need to rectify it quickly because games are coming thick and fast.

"And we need to tidy it up now with those little mistakes because we haven't quite got the rest defence right.

"You see tonight we got punished in the first half with a couple - obviously the slip for the boy to get in and the rebound.

"And then in the first goal as well."
