Rangers Womens players win big cash for UNICEF on Tenable ITV show

A group of players from the Rangers senior women's team rounded off an exceptional performance in the league this season with a cash-winning stint on ITV gameshow Tenable.

The team were on the show to try and win cash for UNICEF, an organisation dedicated to providing humanitarian and developmental aid to children worldwide.

And the Teddy Bears got off to a fantastic start when they bagged £5,500 into the cash fund for the final round, with only captain Brianna Westrup left to play.

She scored eight out of ten on 'British 'translations' of American words', taking the cash fund to a whopping £15,500 for the final round.

They were given a choice of 'Women's International Football' and 'Ed Sheeran' - and despite pre-conceived notion, the girls went for the Ed Sheeran category.

By guessing words from the first verse of hit single 'Thinking Out Loud', it was all down to Brianna once again as one by one, her team was sent off for incorrect answers.

But, with a skipper's true performance, Brianna pulled through and they managed to secure the money for the UNICEF fund, high-fiving each other as they re-entered host Warwick Davis' gameshow.

When asked what the money means to the kids globally, Kirsty said: "We've all been pretty lucky in life, being able to live and eat and play football in the street with our pals.

"This money will mean kids across the world will be able to live a more well-rounded life, and we're so happy we can help in any way."
