The Northern Ireland winger scored a peach of a goal in training ahead of the club's Europa League tie with Standard Liege.
In this video shared by Rangers TV, Jones even nutmegs his international captain Steven Davis in the build-up.
He then cuts inside from the left before curling a right-foot shot into the top corner of the net.
The skill and finish were praised by Rangers' fans, with many applauding the effort on social media.
One tweeted: "Superb. How this guy was dropped for the unimpressive Barker once again is beyond me ! Even getting left out the euro squad is a joke."
Another added: "The wee man needs game time. He’s a fantastic asset and needs to be given a chance. I would argue that on a one v one running at pace he is as good as we have in the squad."
