Rangers winger Jordan Jones linked with move to Michael O'Neill's Stoke City

Jordan Jones is being linked with a move to Michael O'Neill's Stoke City.

Speculation continues to mount over the Rangers winger's immediate future at Ibrox.

Stoke and Championship rivals Middlesbrough - who Jones was previously with - are both keen to get the 25-year-old on loan for the rest of the season.

Blackburn are also interested, if Steven Gerrard decides the Northern Ireland international can leave on a temporary basis.

Jones is currently training with the Light Blues at their Dubai camp.

Stoke boss O’Neill knows Jones well from their time with Northern Ireland and believes the player would boost their survival hopes in the Championship.

Meanwhile, former club Boro have already signed Patrick Roberts on-loan from Norwich City but want to add another winger in this window.

Jones came through the ranks at the Riverside although it wasn’t until he moved to Scotland and Kilmarnock in 2016 that he really started to make his name.

Gerrard then moved to sign Jones on a pre-contract in the summer.

He made an early impression in the early Europa League games and domestically but his season stalled after he suffered an injury in the defeat to Celtic that left him side-lined until the end of last year.

Rangers have a busy schedule coming up with domestic and European fixtures and it is not clear whether or not Gerrard would want the winger to go out.
