Rangers youngster Josh McPake could be heading to Carlisle United with the English League Two side believed to be preparing a loan move for the Coatbridge kid.
McPake is currently with Morecambe in League One but the winger has only made three starts since moving there on loan in the summer, although injury has recently hampered his involvement with Stephen Robinson's side.
Daily Record report the 20-year-old, who impressed in League Two last season on loan at Harrogate, has caught United's attention and they are "set to make contact" with Rangers to get a deal done that would bring him north for the second part of the season.

McPake's loan at Morecambe is set to be terminated next month.
Carlisle will still face competition from English League Two rivals outfits Hartlepool and Oldham Athletic, among others.
National League side Salford City are also belived to be admirers of McPake, who signed a new contract with Rangers in July that ties him to the club until summer 2024.
