Rangers took note on Twitter of the controversy surrounding pundit Michael Stewart and his comments regarding racism allegations issued by midfielder Glen Kamara.
Kamara was left visibly distressed by something Slavia Prague defender Ondrej Kudela whispered in his ear during the sides' Europa League last 16 tie on Thursday night.
The Finland international alleges Kudela called him a "f****** monkey", a claim that Slavia and their vice-captain deny.
European football's governing body UEFA are now set to investigate.
But some fans have strongly disagreed with comments former Hearts and Hibs player Stewart made on the incident the following day on the BBC's Sportsound show.
Speaking to fellow guest Richard Foster about the allegations, he said: "But Richard if you use your basis then all of a sudden I could turn round and say... I could make anything up!
"That, you know, somebody said something against me or you can extrapolate that out..."
That caught the attention of Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand, who tweeted: "Educate yourself @mstewart23... comments like this are why people suffer in silence & are scared to speak out!"
Ferdinand's was one of a number of posts shared by the club's page on Saturday afternoon on the matter, with the hashtag: "#BritishFootballUnited".
The club also thanked a host of Scottish sides for speaking out including rivals Celtic, who shared an image of captain Scott Brown holding up a red card to racism, and Kamara's former team Dundee.
Kamara's national side Finland also shared a message of support, to which Rangers replied: "#EuropeanFootballUnited".
