Rangers vs Livingston called OFF after Ibrox fails pitch inspection as Storm Dennis hits Scotland

Rangers vs Livingston has been called off this afternoon as Storm Dennis hits Scotland this weekend.

The horrendous weather conditions meant a Ibrox pitch inspection was scheduled at 12.30pm to see if the game could go ahead.

But the Rangers pitch was deemed unplayable after officials decided they could no longer guarantee player's safety with the waterlogged surface.

A host of other games across the country has been postponed due to the adverse conditions.

Motherwell vs St Mirren, Ayr vs Morton and Brechin vs Alloa have also been called off.

Dennis is expected to hit the whole of the UK this weekend, unleashing 80mph winds and up to five inches of rain.

A yellow weather warning has been released for the southern parts of Scotland and all of England and Wales.

It is expected that down south will get the worst of it but Scotland will also be impacted.

This comes just a week after Storm Ciara hit the nation with the fierce winds damaging lots of football pitches up and down the country.
