Rangers v Motherwell match pushed back with later kick-off time announced

Rangers' pre-season friendly against Motherwell has been pushed back to a later kick off time.

There was confusion initially when neither side published team-lines for the friendly match as they usually do an hour before kick-off, prompting speculation that something wasn't quite right.

There was some suggestion on social media that the game had been scrapped, however Rangers confirmed at around quarter to six that kick-off had simply been delayed.

The match, which was due to start at 6pm, will now get underway at 8pm.

Both clubs were awaiting the outcome of their COVID-19 tests and have been told they will receive them later on.

Shortly after 6pm Motherwell confirmed that they had received their results, and all players had tested negative.

They added: "We are now travelling to Ibrox ahead of the planned 8pm kick off, as we await confirmation of Rangers' negative test result."
