Rangers v Braga Europa League betting odds as Steven Gerrard's men face tough task

It could be a tough old night for Steven Gerrard and his side at Ibrox this evening.

The Europa League draw did Gers no favours, pitching them against a Braga side which topped a group containing Wolves and Besiktas and has won eight of their last nine Portuguese Liga outings - most recently on Saturday at league leaders Benfica.

Rangers, meanwhile, have stuttered since the winter restart losing at Kilmarnock and being held at Aberdeen.

Braga look big with thepools.com at 11/4 , while Rangers are Evens and the draw an appealing 11/5 .

Braga boss Ruben Amorim, though, has expressed concerns about the sodden Ibrox playing surface which gives Gers confidence that the Portuguese mindset isn't all it should be coming to Glasgow.

Rangers enjoyed a big European victory over Braga's domestic rivals Porto in November, but since then Braga have also beaten Porto in the Portugese Cup.

Despite their sparkling run the Portuguese are not free scoring. Since slamming seven past lowly Belenenses in January, Braga have scored 2, 2, 2, 1, 2, 1, 2 and 1.

Under 2.5 goals at 6/10 looks likely in what could be a cagey first leg clash.  But Rangers will have to produce a peak performance to keep the Portuguese at bay.
