Morgan Whittaker has not been included in Swansea City's matchday squad for their Championship clash with Queens Park Rangers.
The attacker excelled in the opening half of the season during his loan spell with Plymouth Argyle, scoring nine goals and registering seven assists for the League One leaders.
It prompted Swansea into prematurely recalling the 22-year-old from his season-long loan sting with the Pilgrims.

He has been the subject of transfer interest from Rangers, with Swansea turning down a bid for his services from the Scottish Premiership powerhouses.
Russell Martin was set to include Whittaker in his 18-man squad for the Championship clash with QPR on Saturday afternoon in a move that would likely have seen the versatile frontman feature as a substitute which would have ended the possibility of a switch to Ibrox this month.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, the Swansea head coach said: "With Morgan, he's in the squad tomorrow. We've had bids, we've rejected bids, they're quite a way from the club's valuation of Morgan.
"I think we need to draw a line under it. Morgan is in agreement. So he's in the squad tomorrow, we look forward to having him in the squad and we'll take it from there."
However, it's understood Whittaker did not train with his Swansea team-mates on Friday after the attacker spoke with senior figures at the club to state that he did not feel in the right frame of mind to feature in the English capital.
A decision was jointly taken that the player would not travel to west London for the Championship fixture.
It leaves the door open for Rangers to submit an improved offer for Whittaker before the 11pm deadline on January 31, although their original bid is understood to be well short of Swansea's valuation of the former Derby County man.
