Rangers transfer roundup as Zinedine Ferhat frontrunners 'explore alternatives' amid Ibrox interest

Saint-Etienne are reportedly turning their attention away from Zinedine Ferhat amid reported interest from Rangers.

Nimes are holding out for a major pay-out for their star man following their relegation from Ligue 1 and the ongoing TV deal financial issues in France.

The top two divisions have been rocked by changes to the cash they will receive from the league's television partner this summer.

They are reportedly willing to let the 28-year-old leave the club this summer, but frontrunners ASSE are reportedly looking for cheaper alternatives as they look to cost cut.

Hommed state they are still monitoring the Algerian but are now "exploring alternatives" in the free agent market.

The midfielder impressed in the French top flight despite a poor season for his team, and he's said to have been monitored by Steven Gerrard and Ross Wilson.

Rangers are also reportedly tracking Northampton teenager Caleb Chukwuemeka this summer.

The Daily Mail report that Aston Villa have had a bid knocked back for the 19-year-old who has been monitored by the Ibrox scouts.

Elsewhere, Danilho Doekhi remains in transfer limbo this summer as he awaits an approach to Vitesse.

He appeared in pre-season for the Dutch side as they lost to Schalke amid on-going links with a switch to the Premiership champions.
