Rangers are said to be preparing a bid worth £2.6million for Colombian rising star Santiago Moreno.
The 21-year-old, a compatriot of Alfredo Morelos, has been linked with a switch to Ibrox after some impressive performances for America de Cali.
Moreno can play on either side of the front three or in a number 10 role and has been mooted as a long-term replacement for Ryan Kent.
And according to Express Futbol, Rangers are preparing a bid worth €3million (£2.6m) to land the youngster this summer.
They're likely to face competition from Norwich City, with clubs in Major League Soccer also thought to be keen.
Ibrox boss Steven Gerrard has moved to get business done early this summer, snapping up Fashion Sakala and Nnamdi Ofoborh on Bosman deals before the end of last season.
But there will be more work done before their Premiership defence kicks off with questions over the future of a number of stars.
Morelos is believed to be wanted by Porto while Glen Kamara is drawing admiring glances from the English Premier League after his performances at Euro 2020.
And one potential target is off the table as Salih Ozcan has renewed his contract with Cologne.
Explaining how new boss Steffen Baumgart convinced him to stay the defender said: "I am very happy that I am still part of the FCK.
"Regardless of the fact that this is my home, the conversations with Steffen Baumgart and everyone in charge of FCK have convinced me that my journey is not over here."
Meanwhile Josh McPake is set to sign a new two-year deal.
The teenager, poised to join English League One side Morecambe on a season-long loan, is on a contract until next summer at the Light Blues.
