Former Sheffield United keeper Paddy Kenny is certain Rangers -linked Peterborough goal machine Jonson Clarke-Harris can continue his upward career trajectory.
The 26-year-old is enjoying the best season of his career and his 31 goals have Posh sitting on the verge of promotion to the English Championship.
Owner Darragh MacAnthony and chairman Barry Fry are specialists at developing players and selling at a profit and the Scottish Premiership champions are believed to be keen on the former Bristol Rovers man.
And Kenny is certain his former team-mate is good enough to make the step up with the Blades also linked with a move for the striker.
Speaking to Football Insider, he said: “I played with him at Rotherham. He’s a big strapping lad. He didn’t get much game time at Rotherham but he’s got a ridiculous number of goals this season.
“I don’t see why he can’t make that next step up.
"He’s still a good age and they need someone who can score goals.
“A goalscorer is a goalscorer. If he’s got the confidence to do it at that level then chances are he’ll be able to take his game to another level too.”
