Rangers transfer news bulletin as Parfait Guiagon emerges as 'target' amid Kieran Dowell unveiling clues

Rangers are interested in Maccabi Tel-Aviv midfielder Parfait Guiagon, according to a report.

The Ivorian midfielder has reportedly been watched by the Ibrox club over the course of this season, as per Israeli outlet One, and the club are now willing to listen to offers for the 22-year old. Guiagon has enjoyed increased gametime during the second part of the season under former Real Madrid player and Middlesbrough boss Aitor Karanka, but Maccabi are open to selling if the price is right.

The Ivory Coast under 23 international ended the campaign with four goals and two assists, but Rangers are not the only ones taking an interest. Greek sides are also said to be eyeing the attacking midfielder. Reasonable offers are likely to be accepted, and the player is represented by Dudu Dahan, who has previously helped pave the way to Scotland for a number of Israeli players, including Nir Bitton – a current teammate of Guiagon – and Liel Abada to Celtic, while also helping broker Ofir Marciano’s switch to Hibs.

Rangers may also look to Greece in order to strengthen their front line. With Alfredo Morelos leaving under freedom of contract and Antonio Colak told he can pursue other options, Tasos Douvikas has emerged as a potential target.

Having hit 20 goals for Utrecht this season, Douvikas won't come cheap, with the Dutch club reportedly slapping a £10million price tag on his head. Celtic have also been linked but whether the fee demanded is realistic remains to be seen.

Michael Beale has teased new face could be unveiled ahead of Wednesday night’s penultimate premiership clash of the season against Hearts. It’s understood that a pre-contract agreement has been reached with Norwich City man Kieran Dowell and he could be presented to the Ibrox faithful ahead of kick-off.
