Rangers transfer news as Scott Arfield interest accelerates and Juninho Bacuna makes admission

Scott Arfield is attracting interest from Major League Soccer sides, according to a report.

The Rangers star is out of contract at the end of the season and free to discuss a pre-contract with other clubs.

The Canadian international has featured regularly since the arrival of manager Gio van Bronckhorst, and made a scoring return from injury against Livingston.

The Mirror report that the Ibrox chiefs now "fear" losing Arfield for nothing in the summer with unnamed American sides ramping up their interest.

Turkish sides Alanyaspor and Hatayspor have been mooted as potential suitors at the end of the season for the popular midfielder.

Outgoing Juninho Bacuna has revealed game time was the key factor in his decision to leave the Premiership champions after just six months for Birmingham City.

Speaking to the press for the first-time as a Blues player, he said: “I’ve got the opportunity to play games, to show my abilities, Birmingham is a nice city, it is a big club, I am excited to be here and play games.

“By playing games at the highest level, it gives you experience, it's nice to do it and I hope for more in the future.

“I like playing games every two or three days, football is about playing games."
