Rangers transfer news as Danilho Doekhi January exit prospect addressed by Vitesse boss

In-demand defender Danilho Doekhi looks set to remain at Vitesse until the end of the season amid interest from Rangers.

The Premiership champions and the PSV have been credited with an interest in the 23-year-old who only has six months remaining on his current deal.

Despite the prospect of the club skipper leaving the club for nothing in the summer, boss Thomas Letsch reckons he will keep the bulk of his squad for the remainder of the Eredivise season.

Doekhi's centre-back partner Riechedly Bazoer is reportedly attracting interest from PSV and Feyenoord in this window, but Letsch cooled any potential exit chat.

When asked by De Gelderlander about potential departures this month, Letsch said: "This doesn't bother me.

"The window is open and then there is interest from all sides. All rumours are included. Now it is Bazoer, tomorrow (it will be) Danilho Doekhi and the day after tomorrow (it will be) Eli Dasa.”

Elsewhere, details have emerged over John Souttar 's pre-contract agreement with the club.

The BBC claim that the Scotland cap will be contract at Ibrox until 2026 as the Hearts defender looks set to see out the season at Tynecastle.

Further agreements could be around the corner with reports in Italy stating Gio van Bronckhorst is still keeping tabs on Andreas Skov Olsen.

Gazzetta dello Sport continue to link Rangers and state that a £5million bid is on the table this month.
